There are plenty of options available, depending on what you’re interested in. There are plenty of companies who offer guided winery tours, or, if you’re able to allocate designated driver, doing a tour in the comfort of your own vehicle is also a great choice! Here are our top picks of wineries and breweries on and around the Gold Coast.
Balter Brewing Company

Tucked away in Currumbin is one of the Gold Coast’s newest breweries, Balter Brewing Company. Balter offer brewery tours, or alternatively, it’s a great spot to spend a Sunday afternoon. Friday – Sunday at Balter sees a local food truck pull up and serve tasty meals, while Balter provides the beer and beats. O’Reilly’s Canungra Valley Vineyard

Located in the stunning Lamington National Park, 48 minutes from Surfers Paradise, is O’Reilly’s Canungra Valley Vineyard. Not only a great place for a cellar door experience, or tour and tasting, we recommend relaxing by the creek with your specially prepared picnic basket. Burleigh Brewing Co

The original fixture on the Gold Coast beer landscape was Burleigh Brewing Co, who pioneered the craft beer movement in 2006. With quirky names such as “My Wife’s Bitter” and “Hasslehop”, Burleigh Brewing Co have a diverse range including IPAs, pale ales and lagers. Their craft brewery and taphouse is definitely worth a visit with live music and local food trucks. Plus, you’ll be doing your bit for the community as each month they donate a portion of their Taphouse proceeds to a worthy local cause.

Stone & Wood

Although not technically on the Gold Coast, it’s definitely worth a drive and explore of Byron Bay. Stone & Wood are a 100% independent regional brewer producing outstanding beers with no additives and no preservatives. Their Byron Bay brewery is a great destination for a tasting tour and the opportunity to sample some pilot batches. Tours are just $20 per person and include a tasting paddle and a few cheeky pints while you learn about their brewing process and beer philosophy.

Hop On Brewery Tours

If you can’t twist anyone’s arm to be your designated driver, we suggest you opt for a Hop On Brewery Tour instead! Their full-day Coldie on the Goldie tour includes lunch and a guided brewery tour at three of the Gold Coast’s finest: Black Hops Brewery; Burleigh Brewing Co; and Balter Brewing.
