Our Beaches

In our humble opinion, we have some of the best beaches in the world! A trip to the Gold Coast isn’t complete without a day or seven on the sand, so check out our picks for the best Gold Coast beaches and tick them off your list during your stay.

Currumbin

Best beaches Gold Coast Currumbin Beach

Beautiful Currumbin down the Southern end of the Coast is one of the sleepier parts of town, but still a popular destination for locals and visitors. Home of the annual Swell Festival, held in September each year, it also offers great cafes, and is home to the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. Currumbin is one of the best places to have breakfast, lunch or dinner right on the beach road, or at Currumbin Vikings SLSC, right on the water’s edge.

Duranbah

Best beaches Gold Coast Duranbah Beach

Duranbah Point is simply breathtaking with panoramic views from one end of the Coast right across to NSW. On one side of the hill you’ll find Snapper Rocks Queensland (home to Quiksilver Pro), while on the other side, you’ve officially crossed into New South Wales and you’ll find yourself on Duranbah Beach. There is an amazing café right on top of the hill (Café DBar) where you can sit and enjoy the good food and great views.

Tallebudgera Creek

Best beaches Gold Coast Tallebudgera Creek

We recommend you take advantage of your holiday schedule and head to Tallebudgera Creek mid-week if you can! It’s super popular, and for good reason! We love the crystal clear blue water and the variety of pockets dotted along the shore. You can choose to set up near the BBQ area, or on the other side which resembles something out of Fiji. You can hire SUPs (stand up paddle boards), grab an Acai bowl or coffee from the Paddock pop up, or simply just relax on the white sand. Located just past Burleigh Headland, in Palm Beach.

Burleigh Heads

Best beaches Gold Coast Burleigh Heads

One of the top things to do on the Gold Coast according to Trip Advisor is visit Burleigh Heads beach. The word is certainly out about this magical corner of the Gold Coast, still fighting to maintain it’s casual beach vibes despite the hoardes of people who descend on it every weekend. Thankfully, there’s plenty of room for everyone with green parks, BBQs aplenty. Burleigh is also not short of a great cup of coffee, and you’ll find lots of cafe options to grab a high-quality cup. Our picks to keep an eye out for are – Commune, Canteen and Borough Barista .
